Shade By Design

A quick summary

We collect information you choose to send when you request a consultation or apply for a career opportunity. We use it to respond to your inquiry or application and provide our services. Optional analytics only runs when you allow it through the cookie preferences. We do not sell your personal information.

This privacy policy applies to Shade By Design and the website at shadebydesignaz.com. In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” mean Shade By Design.

By using the website, you acknowledge this policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the website. This notice is intended as a practical description of our current website practices and should be reviewed by the business’s legal advisor before publication.

1. Information we collect

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when you contact us, request a quote, ask about a product or service, or apply for a career opportunity. This may include your name, email address, phone number, project details, work experience, desired role, and résumé or other materials you choose to submit.

You may browse most of the website without directly providing personal information. Our hosting provider may process standard technical information needed to deliver pages securely, such as an IP address, browser type, device information, and request timestamps. To help prevent automated spam, our form endpoints may also use transient request/network information and a one-way hash of a normalized email address for rate limiting. These abuse-prevention values are not included in form submissions and are not intended to be retained as contact records.

2. How we use information

We use the information you provide to respond to consultation requests, communicate about your project, schedule or discuss services, provide customer support, review career applications, contact applicants about relevant opportunities, and operate and improve the website.

When you submit the embedded consultation form, your information is sent directly to Jobber, our customer relationship and work-request management provider, so our team can review your request and follow up. When you apply through our careers form, the information and résumé are delivered to our team through our email service provider. These providers may process information on our behalf so our team can respond.

We may also use information when necessary to protect the website, prevent abuse, comply with legal obligations, or establish and defend legal claims.

3. Cookies and analytics

Essential storage is used to remember your cookie preference and support normal website behavior. Optional analytics cookies are controlled by the cookie preference tool and are not loaded until you allow the Analytics category.

If enabled, Google Analytics may receive information about how visitors use the website, such as pages viewed, general device or browser information, and interactions with site features. We configure analytics events without sending the contents of consultation form fields or other form-submitted personal information.

If you allow the Marketing category, the Google Ads tag may be used for advertising measurement. The embedded Jobber form is delivered by Jobber and may use technologies needed to display, secure, and process the form. The contents of your consultation request are not sent through the website’s Google Analytics or Google Ads integration. You can change your choices at any time using the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer.

4. When we share information

We share consultation-request information with Jobber, which hosts the embedded form and supports our lead and work-request workflow. We may also share information with service providers that help us host the website, deliver form submissions, provide analytics when you consent, maintain security, or support business operations. These providers may use information only as needed to provide their services to us.

We may also disclose information if required by law, legal process, or a valid governmental request, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger, sale of assets, financing, or acquisition.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. How long we keep information

We keep consultation, contact, and career-application information for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your request, evaluate employment opportunities, provide services, maintain business records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal or accounting obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymize it when reasonably practical.

6. How we protect information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information in our care. No internet transmission or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so you should use appropriate care when sending information online.

7. Children’s privacy

The website is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us so we can review and delete it when appropriate.

8. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live and the law that applies to you, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or information about the personal information we hold about you. You may also have the right to withdraw consent for optional analytics or request limits on certain processing.

To make a privacy request, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request, and some information may need to be retained to comply with legal obligations or protect our rights.

9. California residents

California residents may have additional rights under California privacy law, including rights to know about, access, correct, or delete personal information, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information where applicable. We do not sell personal information, and we do not knowingly use sensitive personal information for purposes beyond those necessary to operate the website and respond to requests.
